Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) has been finding it difficult to carry on as normal after being raped by Aaron Sandford (James Craven) in Coronation Street.

Things were made even more tricky when police dropped the case against him, allowing him to continue with life on the street.

Recently, Amy spotted Aaron kissing his ex-girlfriend Mia, and felt obliged to warn her what Aaron was really like.

However, Mia ended up believing his excuses, and blocked Amy on social media.

With Amy feeling as though no one will listen to her, she takes to writing about her experience as a means of coping with her emotions.

When Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) catches her at the laptop in a new spoiler video, he asks what she is doing.

Amy explains that it helps her to get what happened out of her head, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that everyone still believes that Aaron is a ‘great guy’.

It s then that Steve suggests that she post what she has written on the Internet, so that everyone can read exactly what Aaron is like.

However, this advice is set to have dire consequences for Amy.

In upcoming episodes, after Amy chooses to post her writing online, the Barlows receive a visitor: Aaron’s dad, Eric.

Having seen Amy’s online post, he informs them that he will be suing them for libel.

When Amy later receives a letter from Eric’s solicitor telling her to take down the post or face further legal action, Steve encourages her to stick to her guns.

Though Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) tries to tell them that a libel case would be very costly, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) insists that they’ll fight until the bitter end.

Could they end up losing everything?
