Convicted Proud Boys garbage pile Joe Biggs, who just got 17 of a possible 33 years in prison for his activities in the January 6 riots, spoke to right-wing troll Alex Jones from prison.
On Saturday, after his sentencing, Biggs called his old workplace. That’s right, despite making his defense that he was “seduced by the crowd” that day. the truth is, Biggs was at one point a correspondent for Infowars, Jones’ podcast/broadcast. During the call, he griped about the food in jail and begged fans for donations “for his family.”
Biggs, a former soldier, also had his military pension revoked for his conviction of seditious conspiracy against the United States.
He expressed his desire for Donald Trump — who famously told the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by” three years ago in the wake of the Kyle Rittenhouse murder of two protesters — to win the presidency in 2024. He remembers Trump’s defense of the Proud Boys, and feels sure that the former President would pardon him if he were to re-take the White House:

“I know he’ll pardon me. I believe that with all my heart.”
Trump, while he did not name the Proud Boys specifically, did say during a CNN town hall that he would consider pardons for a “large portion” of the defendants from that fateful day at the Capitol.
Of course, Biggs had better hope that Trump wasn’t watching his trial because, like all cowards, he would not take responsibility for his own actions. His lawyers, in fact, turned his defense on Trump himself, saying that the former President had “sold them a lie.”
Imagine blaming Trump for what happened on January 6, then saying publicly you believe he will pardon you for crimes you committed in his name.
Biggs got such a long prison term because the judge in the case decided he was eligible for a “terrorism enhancement” in his sentencing. He said that the fact that Biggs tore down a fence separating law enforcement and the rioters meant he had committed a “deliberate, meaningful step” in worsening the situation and creating more mayhem.
Trump likely did see Biggs’ trial, so he will probably know that he’s been thrown under the bus by numerous defendants. But he’s so revenge-driven that he may pardon Biggs anyway, just to prove a point.
Let’s hope he never gets the chance.
Proud Boys Leader Joe Biggs who was sentenced to 17 years in prison tells Alex Jones he knows Trump will pardon him:
“I know Donald Trump will pardon us and he should… We’re his supporters; we went there like he asked.”
