Chelsea have made moves to sign Tottenham star Bissouma

Chelsea have made moves to try and sign Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma – as they seek to continue their winter of spending.

Chelsea have been very busy this transfer window and have spent some serious money on the likes of Noni Maduake – Andrey Santos – Mykhailo Mudryk – Benoit Badiashile – David Datro Fofana – and a loan deal for Joao Felix.

However – they are not stopping there as there are plenty of weeks left in the transfer window to add a couple of new faces to that squad – and the latest name to be linked is Bissouma.

Bissouma really established himself as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League with Brighton and earned his move to Tottenham – where fans were excited to see what he can do.

However – he has not made the impact that many had hoped – partly down to the fact that he has not been given a real chance by Antonio Conte – and there is a feeling that he may be open to a swift exit from Tottenham.

It is believed Chelsea would be prepared to let Hakim Ziyech move to Spurs in order to sign Bissouma, especially as they know that their London rivals are interested in a deal for the Moroccan winger.

But Tottenham have so far rejected Chelsea’s enquiries and are currently insistent Bissouma will not be allowed to move to Stamford Bridge in January.

Sometimes it is not about how many players you bring to the club – it is the quality and fans may be enjoying all the spending – but also will be a little worries.
